I don’t know how many of you have actually read my first blog as we launched BB Bounce just over a month ago but the ‘not knowing’ will not discourage me.
We had hundreds of visitors to the website, so I believe that my words have reached some people and as time goes by I know there will be more and more to follow.
Wow, what a month it has been.
I have literally buried myself in the office and worked around the clock.
I know there should be a balance, but when I have a task, a project, a goal or a responsibility at hand, I just do it. Give everything I have with laser focus. I get great pleasure out of it at least until I have the stamina to keep going and then suddenly (inevitably) I crash and burn. My dedication, and passion bring out the best and the worst in me.
My best because I get super creative and I actually live and breathe the task. Bad, because I almost withdraw from reality and forget to live. I neglect physical exercise, my health and a much needed healthy balance.
I should have learnt by now but I follow the same pattern, it’s like starting a book and not being able to put it down until the last page is turned. Yes, I am one of those but for the sake of my health and wellbeing, I have to work on this!
As I am normally quite active, sitting in front of my laptop means I put on weight. Uh-oh.
Whilst I have actually been enjoying my gluteus maximus being maximus, I have started running again to make sure it does not get too disproportionate. I’ve started drinking my Slim & Tone Protein shake from Amazonia Raw; this is not just a (not too subtle) promo here, but it is true that I have been using Amazonia Raw supplements for many years now and the Slim and Tone protein helps me with keeping a healthy weight with good toned muscles and it helps reduce cravings. But just drinking it doesn’t work, you have to increase your physical activity for it to be beneficial. I wish there was a magic cure.. don’t we all?
Whilst on the topic of product review and recommendation: I also tried the Collagen Glow 5000 for mainly my nails and hair and now I am onto my second month of religiously drinking it every day. My hair has its shine and bounce back and my nails looks healthy and much stronger than before.
I will put out a package deal tomorrow with some products that will help people get back into shape after the strict isolation we have just been through here in Australia.
So, back to BB Bounce, the website was launched on the 5th of April and since then we have added several new brands & countless new products, some of them are Antipodes (truly fantastic skincare from New Zealand), Ecostore for keeping the house & laundry clean and healthy, Bee Natural, Biologika, Clover Fields, Nature’s Sunshine, Wildcraft Dispensary- all Australian made goodness. We have further expanded some of the existing ranges too, for example, Weleda now includes Weleda Men, Weleda Baby and almost the full skin care range from teens to mature skin.
The most exciting announcement, however, is that sales have begun!
I remember the first order that came through, it was super exciting! I will not name the first customer, but I sent her a hand-written note to say thank you and everyone received a little gift with their first order. So thank you to all who have visited the website, made a purchase and told others about us. It means the world to us; this is why we started, this is how we will grow and develop. With the help of you, our customers, we’ll grow bigger and stronger and have more opportunities to give back. Better prices, better, cheaper and faster shipping options, more deals and offers.
One of my commitments was to make our products affordable and available for everyone, no matter where they are in the world, so everyone can have a better, more active, balanced, harmonious & healthier life. This is the reason why we deliver worldwide, and as soon as the international postal routes are open again we will be resuming this service.
(If you are reading this from overseas, currently there are no international deliveries from Australia via Australia Post and the very limited available options are very expensive.)
So, my message for this month is: don’t do what I did, but find a balance and make sure you stay healthy- physically and mentally. Do what you love, love what you do but share this love with others that need you, share it with yourself, your body and mind. Eat well, sleep enough, don’t forget your water, exercise, go for walks, ride your bike, meditate, swim, stretch, dance do whatever you can to stay healthy physically, mentally & spiritually.
I promise I will do the same and aim for a better balance, and will let you know how I go in my next month’s blog.
Until then, stay healthy! If you have any questions or comments let me know.
